THREAD A NEEDLE
HOW TO THREAD A NEEDLE FREEHAND

Threading a needle with tapestry wool can often be a frustrating experience as the 4 ply wool has a tendency to unravel as you attempt to thread all of the strands.
To avoid this happening, fold the end of the wool around the needle and pinch the fold to hold it together. Then remove the needle from within the fold, still pinching the wool.
You should now be holding the pinched folded end of the wool in one hand, and the needle in the other.
Now thread the folded end of the wool through the needle and pull it through. Watch the video above for further guidance.
HOW TO THREAD A NEEDLE USING A YARN THREADER

Some people seem to have the knack of being able to thread a needle first time whilst others struggle. That's why each Sew Sew Mellow kit includes a yarn threader to help.
The threader has a large hook on one end and a smaller hook on the other. Slot the large hook through the eye of your tapestry needle then hook one end of your yarn around the large hook and pull it (and the yarn) back through the eye of the needle. Magic! Watch the video above for further guidance.
